Malmsten, Bodil

Bodil Malmsten was born in the small village of Bjärme in Jämtland. As a teenager, she moved to Stockholm, where she would live for almost 40 years. When just above 20 years old, she had her first and only daughter, Stefania Malmsten, who eventually became a designer and has designed the covers of several of her mother’s books among other things. Bodil Malmsten is the granddaughter of the famous Swedish interior designer Carl Malmsten (1888-1972).
