Domingo Villar was a Spanish novelist born in Vigo, Galicia, but later he resided in Madrid. He was for many years host for a radio show about food. When he was not writing novels he published short stories in magazines and produced screenplays for film and television. Villar died at only 51 years old due to a stroke.
