Clayton Rawson was an American editor, illustrator and author of whodunits and pulp fiction. He specialised in locked room mysteries and other "impossible" crimes and is one of only a few writers that is on par with the master of the genre, John Dickson Carr. They were close friends and used to compete on finding the best solutions to extraordinary problems that often included elements of the occult.
