Roth, Veronica

Veronica Roth grew up in Barrington, Illinois, with her siblings and single artist mother. Her grandparents were Polish holocaust survivors. Her mother gave up her Jewish faith, and Veronica has been a practicing Christian since high school. She graduated from Barrington High School after which she attended Carleton College followed by a creative writing course at Northwestern University. She married the photographer Nelson Fitch in 2011.
